Creating and consolidating a base on the information of experiences in local governments in favour of children and adolescents. ¿Why knowledge management?
We use knowledge management tools in order to breach the gap between theory and practice and learn from experience. They are also used to provide products and services based on the articulation between theory and practice, in order to respond with efficiency to new challenges that the cooperation faces in relation to development in a global context. Furthermore, systematizing, analyzing and socializing these learning tools are useful for “us and others”.
¿What is the Knowledge Management Strategy? The key is to make knowledge understandable and applicable. The strategy consists of a knowledge management approach towards the provisions of services, with the aim of filling the emptiness that exists between policy and practice through the supply of knowledge products. These products are the result of the transformation of “theoretical knowledge and practice” into tools to be used.
Carrying out knowledge managementIn order to carry out knowledge management, it is necessary to keep in mind that this only makes sense when: - Is a common language to share and submit knowledge.
- It generates opportunities of action with a high added value.
- Every person is a key actor in the process.
- Technical assistant services are based on knowledge products.
Knowledge Products Products are developed within the knowledge management process. These products have certain things in common such as: - They are not developed from theory, but include input obtained from practice.
- They include value added. The results of an activity are not isolated, but are used in project implemented activities.
- They have been systematized and are tangible and verifiable.
- These are tools that have been used and are replicable. They are not an idea from a project to be carried out.
